Annual Holiday Luncheon and Russell Home Raffle!

December 11, 2025

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

The Azalea Lodge at Mead Gardens:

1300 S Denning Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789

Members: $25 l Non-Members: $30

Celebrate the season with purpose at our Annual Holiday Luncheon, where good food, great company, and heartfelt giving come together. This cherished tradition brings our members together to kick off the holidays—and to support a truly extraordinary local treasure: the Russell Home.

Founded in 1951 by the visionary Mrs. Russell, the Russell Home was the first nonprofit in the nation dedicated to caring for brain-damaged children. What began with one child and a dusty occupational license has grown into a sanctuary for hundreds—many arriving after desperate pleas from families, and some simply left at the doorstep. The Russell Home continues to offer unconditional love, stability, and lifelong care to those who need it most.

Purchase Raffle Tickets here or at the luncheon.

Raffle Donations Welcome
We’re collecting gift cards and items of value for our charity raffle. All proceeds go directly to the Russell Home.

Drop donations off at:
498 Palm Springs Dr, Ste 270, Altamonte Springs
—or bring them with you to the luncheon!

Let’s gather, give, and grow the impact of this incredible home. We can’t wait to see you there.

About the Russel Home:

The Russell Home for Atypical Children in Orlando has been in continuous operation for over 60 years without any government support. The Home is the only private, non-profit facility of its kind for severely disabled children in Central Florida.

A central tenet of the Russell Home is to encourage each and every child to develop to his or her highest potential. We celebrate the efforts and accomplishments of every child here in our home, and as a result the children demonstrate pride in their own personal achievements.

The Russell Home provides around the clock specialized care, with love and a home-like atmosphere. The love that is in this home, expressed through the eyes, sounds, and smiles from the children will make you count your blessings for the simple things in life.

We will also accept items donated to The Russell Home.

Seniors First 2025 Turkey Trot

11/27/2025

7:30 AM EST

Once again, NAIFA Central Florida is pleased to help raise money for the Seniors First “Race to End Senior Hunger” program.

  • 1 in 7 seniors struggles with hunger and may not know where their next meal will come from. That’s over 37,000 here in Orange County alone.
  • Seniors First has an army of over 375 volunteers who deliver 900-1,100 meals each weekday in 2024 they delivered over 438,000 meals.
  • The volunteers deliver more than a meal. They bring much needed conversation and a safety check. For many, the volunteer will be the only person that senior sees or speaks to on a given day.
  • Seniors are the fastest growing segment of the population going hungry.

What better time to help feed our neighbors than on our annual day of Thanksgiving? NAIFA’s support in this Race to End Senior Hunger will bring us that much closer to that goal!

The 36th Annual “Turkey Trot” 5K around beautiful Lake Eola, downtown Orlando will start at 7:00 am on Thanksgiving Day. Our team is NAIFA Central Florida, and our goal is to raise $5,000 for “Race to End Senior Hunger”.

Below is a link to our NAIFA Central Florida team Turkey Trot home page. Here you can register to run, walk, or make a contribution. So even if you can’t make the event this year, you can help by donating! 100% of your donation will help us feed Seniors in Central Florida through the Seniors First “Race to End Senior Hunger program. Any amount helps!

After you sign up and/or donate, share this link with others to support our efforts:
